Engagement Ring Checklist

Use this checklist to create a detailed brief for your Jeweller:

  • Your Style

  • Some ideas include Halo, Trilogy, Art Deco, Classic, Modern, Vintage, Floral, Romantic, Blingy
  • Read this article to find out more: What Ring Will Look Best on my Finger? (You can choose more than one):
  • Your Ideal Gem

  • Think about what shapes you like but also what you don't like. The classic is round however the other shapes can offer a more individual look to suit your style and taste.
  • We can make the style that best suits your needs and advise you on what you're after. A Solitaire engagement ring is timeless and does not date, however if you are after something with a bolder bright look then consider a multi set or halo/cluster style.
  • An engagement ring can be made with a multitude of gemstones however here is a couple of options to get you started
  • Your Ideal Setting

  • We can help you decide what you are wanting to achieve in the design of your ring.
  • Do you need a 'low profile' for work to reduce chance of damage, or can it sit up 'proud'?
  • Adding shoulder stones can enhance the look of the ring without taking away from the centre stone/cluster.
  • Your Ideal Band

  • Talk to your Jeweller about the style of band and what is comfortable to you.
  • Will it need to have a flat wedding ring or a fitted wedding ring to sit along your handmade ring?
  • Some bands wrap around the gemstone (offset) to embrace it while others form a figure of eight (infinity) to 'house' the gemstone.
  • Your ring needs to be a comfortable fit to later accommodate a Wedder and possibly an Anniversary Ring. Your Jeweller will guide you through the process of determining your finger size.
  • Is there anything else you would like to tell us about your Custom Ring design?
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
